About the Project

To support the growing women’s services line at Greater Baltimore Medical Center, CRGA worked with the GBMC team to develop an elegant design that allowed their Perinatal Associates practice needed to expand while improving their overall operational efficiency. Incorporating LEAN principles, the practice approximately doubled in size to accommodate additional physicians, expanded ultrasound facilities, and new fetal monitoring services. The practice now incorporates a pod layout, with each pod having their own vitals/triaging area to support the physicians working in those pods. Centralized ultrasound facilities, fetal monitoring and a blood draw lab provide patient centered care, bringing all widely used services for their patient population into the practice so that patients don’t have to be inconvenienced and go somewhere else.  To provide the most comforting environment possible, our team incorporated biophilic design by utilizing an earthy color palette and elegant wood toned finishes.
